Hasn't been discussed in a long time, but most Ferraris have one. It's that funky socket under the dash for the special Ferrari trouble light...but where do you get the strange plug? It's a BMW part! http://www.cyclegadgets.com/Products/product.asp?Item=PLUG

If your car came with the trouble light as an accessory, then you have the plug under your dash, probably on the left side of the steering column. Most cars at least up to and including the 355 have it.

The plugs are readily available in various configurations to suit your needs. Just thought I would add this tip, as it usually comes up a couple times per year, but haven't seen it mentioned in some time.

    Regards,
    Dave

Well answer this one for me.

Above my right sun visor my '77 308GTB had a power cord like for a radar detector. I always assumed someone fished it in there to avoid dangling cord.

But my second one '77 308GTB, has one there also! Coincidence or is this factory???

No idea, but would hazard a guess that this is a coincidence...and you buy your Ferraris from some very savvy and "ticket averse" owners. ;)

Well this last one was 78 years old and a very nice man.

put on 5,000 miles in 25 years! New shocks last year.

Thanks for info. I'll rip it out if I can find where it lands for input power.

The 78 GTS I bought from an older collector who put 300 miles on in 9 years (garage/museum queen...) is also wired for a radar detector. It was installed by the dealer (something in NY, I forget exactly who) for about $400. The wires are visible running around the kickpanel on the driver's side.
