Check with Bob Norwood at Norwood Autocraft in Dallas, TX. He has done the twin turbo TR's before, he might know where to get one already done for you.

First of all a Norwood Twin Turbo modifed 512TR will do 210MPH max and 0-60MPH in 4.2 secs. A Koenig Twin Turbo modified 512TR will do 230MPH, 0-60 in 3.2 secs. Obviously Koenig is the way to go. Don't add the wider bodykit or any body kit for that matter as this will add tremendous weight to the car and slow it down. Keep it as light as possible to maximise the performance.

I worked for Norwood for a few years and James Patterson would be the man to talk to for TR upgrades 972/831-8111 or www.norwoodperformance.com.

I'm certain that if both cars were tested side by side under the same conditions, each car's results would be very similar to one another.
In my opinion, I would say that Norwood would be the best one for a turbo upgrade in North America and Koenig possibly the one in Europe. The cost of shipping a TR to Europe, combined with all the time and customs red tape an owner has to go through would weigh heavily in the decision making process. Not to mention post installation instructions and technical support that Norwood can offer in the US over Koenig. For a guy living in LA, just put it on a truck and it's in Dallas within a day or two for around $500.

My advice would be to call them both and see which company can offer the best overall package for the user.

    Just my experienced opinion

thank you my fellow ferrari chatters...
i spoke with bob norwood.. he can make the 512tr very close to koening performance cost about $50,000... estimate.... and reduce some weight to the car too... i will use the car for show, street use ans scca track events..
its too much troible to ship the car to germany... and have it re worked for smog... norwood estimates about 12oo horsepower and 780 torque top speed with gearing... estimates over 218mph. he does not suggest the koeing body kit will add on weight. and reduce some speed... i have located a car... my goal is to have my weapon ready by october of this year... it will be faster top end then f40 f50 and maybe enzo.... many many thanks
    thank you very much

Hey, I'll send you a PM w my email. I can tell you all about my car. it weighs 2800# or almost 1000# less than stock w 550 hp & a motech ignition.

I'll definately have to call BS on $50k unless that is engine mods ONLY

My race trans which Bob Wallace is building in AZ cost $40k alone

I easily have $200k sunk into my car & it will give an F40 a bad hair day at any track

As far as road & track, I would suggest you choose 1 becus a road car will weigh a lot more than a race car

check this site for the shop that built my car, they have lots of pics here too

William, I think this guy is having us on - have you ever heard of an SCCA class in which you can run a TR or 512? ITE is in theory a previously homologated endurance racer. These cars are not even close as I do not believe they were ever homologated for anything.

Wont you have a problem getting into the historics with a 512? They have to be 25 and have a race history. BTW which organization do you run your car - NASA? Over 3 liter unlimited?

You might be able to get an exemption to run SCCA, you can run Vipers & Vettes there so you should be able to run TRs

I can run my car in HRS, RCCA, NASA, and a few other places
