    Hello everyone,

I bought a 1974 Dino 246 GTS recently (excellent car). One problem I have is it appears the carbon canister has been removed from the fuel system and my garage smells like fuel. The air intake shut-off valve is installed but has been disconnected from the oil pressure (probably a good idea - oil leaks could be a bad thing). Been stuffing a sponge in air intake - helps a little. Any idea where I can get one of these canisters? Been searching the internet with no luck.

    Thanks
    John Mollenkopf

How bad is the fuel smell?

If it is a strong smell it is probably not coming from the missing charcoal canister and you should look for a fuel leak.

Not quite sure what you're talking about. There is a fuel evap cannister with charcoal in it but it is located a bit far away from the carbs - do you have a photo of what you're referring to or perhaps ID it from the parts book TAV number?

BTW, it is common for your garage to have a fuel smell because a Dino is in there.

Congrats on new ownership, great photo in the register of 08486
