For what it's worth...a Carfax is good. I trust my own eyes and instinct far more when a car is on a lift. Some negative things don't get on a Carfax and to be fair, good things get left off Carfax also.
its just a car buying deturant, car fax is not always accurate, it's just a tool to scare people who don't know about used cars or how to buy them. Car fax is one step but in person fact checking is important. Picked up a 2013 ZR-1, guess what there were issues on the car that car fax didn't report.
I've been using Fiverr, so for $5 there are people who will run a Carfax and Autocheck. One car I was looking at had a perfect Carfax yet Autocheck reported two accidents. Clean title.
Anybody willing to help me by running a license plate on Carfax to get the VIN? I don't need the actual carfax report. I didn't know Carfax offered the license plate search until recently and I would finally like to know the car's vin for record keeping in case it switches hands and the plate changes.
