I ran the report. From CARFAX:

10/14/2007 22,371 Damage Report Damage reported
    Involving right front impact
    Involving rear impact
CARFAX recommends checking for damage during your pre-purchase inspection.

It's a 1998 F355 Spider, s/n 109787. I know you can tell the serial based on the VIN, but I think it's good to post it in case people run an F-chat search for this vehicle later.

Can I get a report too? My friend is interested in this one but it's been advertised forever so I think it has been sold , but i think the dealer is keeping it on their site for leads, but want to know if it's sold without having to call them and have them asking for our contact info. Thanks in advance.

Carfax shows three owners. Bad thing is an inconsistent odometer reading:

03/05/2004 12,788 Service Facility Vehicle serviced
07/24/2006 12,556 Dealer Inventory Marysville, OH Vehicle offered for sale INCONSISTENT ODOMETER READING

The one thing I would suggest is to verify the 03/05/2004 odometer reading as this could have been a mistake. The rest of the report is consistent with this one exception which could be a mistake. Also, most of the 2002 Murcies read in kilometers which caused alot of "inconsistent" mileage readings since some people were converting them into miles during their ownership thus causing a 20,000 kilometer car to all of a sudden read 12,500 miles.

As for it being sold there is no record of a new title issued since 2004. The last record is Oct. 2007 where it's indicated as being in dealer inventory.

Surprising. I guess that's why it's a good thing to check both ... just in case! :)

Wow, that's nice of you to run carfax for people.

    Some forums discourage it.

Thanks TIPO, we appreciate your time spent. Will check out the mileage issue, I have heard many my02 having mileage confusions.

You're welcome. It's more common that you think and I'm surprised that dealers don't address the issue right away. I think there are a couple of '02s in dealer inventory that have this problem. For better or for worse it definitely affects the car's value. I had the same issue once with a BMW and it took considerable effort to clear it up but it was well worth it in the end. Best of luck!

    Hello Tipo,

May I trouble you to run one more? I know it's not a Ferrari but a 2005 BmW M3 and I am wanting to run the CARFAX to see how many owners, if there has been any accidents, and where the car was last registered. If you can help, thank you in advance, if not, it's all good!

    VIN#: WBSBL93415PN63603
    2005 BMW M3

    Thanks!

    ~Matthew
