Hey ya'll, i know this is really amateur of me to ask but i am very new to the ebay and paypal concept. My 1st win of this item

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3948512901&ssPageName=ADME:B:EOAB:CA:6

When i tried to pay through paypal, it said that it could not be done, a few mins after the end of the auction, i recieved an email from the seller saying

"Dear clyde_fernan, Merry Christmas! Thank you for purchasing the Racing Jacket. Please send us your preferred size & shipping method to us as soon as possible, so that we can ship you item promptly. We have changed our Paypal account. Please send your amount to [email protected] through 'send money' in Paypal. Regards, Jtmwear"

????????? is this safe to do? because i dont want to be left out in the cold, and that is a very nice jacket and a good price, but the seller has a 0 rating!!

    - please offer your thoughts and what i can do... i have no clue

hmmm. not sure. this is like most retailers that ebay their stuff. they are all manufactured and shipped from Hong Kong. In a way, I'd trust it, but I'm not the buyer. if you question them, ask them to respond via inquiring through ebay messaging systems.

I'm not new to Ebay by any stretch........ I've been on since '98 and have close to 200 transactions, some high ticket items.

I'd say, taking a quick look at your auction, it doesn't seem right. It looks like a scam to me. But for $30 I might be willing to risk it and expect to loose it. My suggestion is to only bid on items with sellers having around 100 feedbacks w/ over a 96% rating.

    Good luck

totally could be legit... one problem i see is that it's just too easy to click on a name and send an email like that.

i could right now click on your name to send you an email, tell you congrats on winning the item with a couple other specifics easily scraped from the ad, and ask you to pay into another account instead.
