Red/Tan 2 owner car, 17,000 miles in very nice condition but not a show car. PPI just done and all checked out. All records, tools etc. A 15K service was done end of 02 with new tires then. Only 1K miles since 15K service. Seats were dyed and a few chips that were touched up in front.
I am thinking low $60's, seller thinking high $60's. I know the market letter says $67K.
What do you guys think? I appreciate any input. Thnanks

When was the cam belt last changed? In that that is not part of the 15k service, that is something you need to know. If the cam belt has not been changed in the last 5 years, deduct at least $5k from the sales price so you can have it done prior to driving the car.

This is always an interesting topic. There is a huge disconnect between sellers and buyers with F-cars.

Dealers will indicate the car you mentioned is worth in the 50's. Realistic pricing is in the 60's. Some seller's asking in the 70's.

It seems to me that truely nice cars are getting more difficult to find, as time goes on. A 1994 car is 10 years old. Finding one that is well taken care of and in good shape becomes a big search. If it is a clean car, with major service done, no issues, perhaps it is wise to pay a thousand more so you don't have to bang your head against the wall trying to find another. For some reason, when I was searching, it always seemed there were stories and/or the car wasn't as nice as represented on the phone.

Perhaps you could split it with the seller and agree on mid-60's.

I think your pricing is about right based on my recent purchase.

A car is only worth what the buyer will pay... I know, not a lot of help.

If it is the car you want and everything is right, don't lose it for a couple thousand dollars. After all, at that price, it is a small percentage, not worth losing your dream car over.
