The next installment of Need For Speed (game) called Undercover and is set to be released. (November 18 North America - November 21 Europe). The car list include some of the following supercars: Audi R8, Aston Martin DB9, Bugatti Veyron 16.4, Ford GT, Lamborghini LP560/4, Lamborghini LP640, Koenigsegg CCX, McLaren F1, Porsche 911 RS, Porsche GT2, Porsche Carrera GT. (Sadly no Ferraris announced!). What do everyone think about the game?

Not particularly spectacular. There aren't enough cut scenes to make a compelling story, granted, I'm not very far. There is not a log of what you are supposed to do so u kinda just race every race until the lady pops on the screen and talks, then you race more. Not to bad of a game, but I hope better is to come. By the way, if you play it, just race like 5 races, then you race some important race, and get a free car when you win. Pick the Elise, I have yet to win a race by less than 15 seconds with it.

You have to pay 7.50 for those supercars I think. The PS store has all the stuff out already, and if you just play the game normally, you can unlock without paying I think everything except for the supercars listed in the OP.

I haven't played it but based on drewsteriam5's comments I am really disappointed in all the new racing games, MC:LA was pretty hard, compared to pretty much any other racing game and the lack of cars was really disappointing. Guess we will just have to wait for Forza 3 or GT5.

I guess so. I have been playing so many racing games and they all disappointed me. I miss the old Need For Speed games like Hot Pursuit 2, that was the true gaming experience. I wonder when GT5 will be coming out, I heard late 2009. I also wonder if there will be another Test Drive game like Test Drive Unlimited, that was a pretty good game until my computer screwed me over :(.

Yeah, they are mostly, disappointing, I still don't mind playing the arcade styled games though, so I'm sure I'll probably like it. And there is supposed to be a Test Drive Unlimited 2, but Atari took forever releasing the car packs so most of the people on their forums were pissed.

I’ve never been so disappointed with a game like this in my life. First off the frame rate staggers, you would think with a PS3 it would be so smooth but like anything EA has done lately it was just rushed through for a Christmas deadline. I was a fan when the went to the open world roaming map like in Most Wanted on the PS2, (still one of my favorites) but that is where most of the creativity stops. It’s like the developers took a step backwards. This game is way too easy not to mention it doesn’t give a chance to drive to your race missions but instead gives you a chance to jump into the next event buy pushing down on the directional pad. You cannot select upgrades after event wins but they are assigned to you in a selected order. However you can purchase mods, paint your car, put stickers on it, body kit, & custom wheels for your car but there is no way to tune & balance the vehicle. Granted that this is pure arcade style rice racer & is nothing close to GT5 Prologue, Grid, or Ferrari Challenge. I really had high hopes for this title but as I said before I’ve never been so disappointed, I should have rented it instead of buying it.

A game with the racing and customization of Forza, the cars and graphics of PGR4 and the world of TDU would probably be the perfect game, unfortunately it looks like games are just going to keep getting farther and farther away from that.

I think TDU had the best idea so far, I just think they should make it so the cars are as customizable as in old versions of Need for Speed. That way you can actually admire peoples cars for being so personalized instead of everyone meeting up to cruise in different colors of the same exact car!

You gotta hand it to them though, they manage to get the Bugatti Veyron on the game which means it's the first game to have that.

I was really surprised by that, I do wish the game companies would give up all their licenses of the cars so we can once again have Porsches, BMWs, Lamborghinis and Ferraris all in the same game. I wish TDU looked a bit better also, the cut scenes are awful they should have just gotten rid of them.

    Actually, it isn't.

That was NFS: Pro Street, which is the NFS game before Undercover.

Although, it was a download for Pro Street.

I was looking around on the web and apparently an Eden Games spokesperson said that they are currently working on Test Drive Unlimited 2. This was said at an interview over a year and a half ago. I wonder if it will come out early 2009. It is said that there will be street and well as off-road racing in the game. There will be over 2400miles of open road like the previous game but the location is not confirmed. I hope they have the previous supercars from the first TDU as well as new ones like the Ferrari California and Lamborghini LP640 and LP560/4. What cars would you guys like to see in the game (if they make it)?

Veyron, Ariel Atom, F430 Scuderia, every version of the Gallardo ever, and an NSX of some sort.

I sooooo hope they do make it, the first one was so good it just needed at few little touches to make it perfect, that and a better location to be honest but if the 2400 miles of open road is true then it's even bigger than before which is awesome.

They should have some ferraris i mean, that would be weird if it didn't... I was eaither going to get Midnight club or this game, this game looks so sick and it's got a veyron! can't wait to play it.

BTW i think forza motorsports 3 should be coming out for the xbox 360 probley next year? that should be a kick ass game too.
