    Looking for a reputable mechanic in West LA - Santa Monica for an 01 360. Any advice welcomed.

    I have heard of Blackhorse(something about the front shop and back shop being different ???), FX Performance, and Lucent (on Sepulveda/Olympic). Any opinions on these as well as others?

    Lucent is a rip off. They wanted $250 bucks to install by-pass pipes on my Porsche 911.

    Carl at Blackhorse! He's been around a LONG time! He does great work!
    Everyone I know whose warranty has already expired, they all go to Carl for service.

    This has got to be some kind of a joke. You can't find a good Ferrari mechanic in LA? You should try Montana some time.

    Who says there aren't any good mechanics here......as long as you weed out the ones who try to make their monthly nut aff the only unsuspecting fish who swims in or charges you for work that they never actually did........?

    Had great experience with both Carl and Claudio although Carl's shop is much larger and he can be open on Saturdays where I've seen him take care of immediate problems when owner's drive up.

    Sometimes Claudio gets a bit cramped and doesn't have the space to line cars up to be worked on.



    I have also heard that Carl rents the front to the sales crew.
