Just saw the thread on a good upholstery shop wanted in DFW area, well I need one in Austin. Not for a Ferrari but for a Maserati. I just want some panels replaced on the front seats. Any help appreciated.

Have not used them (yet) but plan to. Met them at a Moorespeed shop event some time ago. Have heard a few good things but can't recommend them one way or another. Might also contact David at his Moorespeed shop for a recommendation.

Thanks h00Kem - much appreciated. I don't live too far away from that part of town so I will pop by and check them out. If I use them I will let you know what I think.

Just a quick update - I contacted David Moore and he did suggest Leather Menders. I took my Merak seat down to them on Monday and by Thursday (today) the job was done. Job entailed the replacememnt of a couple of panels on the driver's seat. It's not perfect however I am a bit of a perfectionist and it is VERY good. What particularly impressed me was that everything was put back the way the seat came from the factory - the underside looks untouched! I do recommend Leather Menders. Contact down there is Paul.

$100 a panel which was the same as I was quoted else where - actually a little cheaper than a couple of other places. Soon as they know it is a Maserati I think prices are adjusted upwards! Anyway the Meraks seats are not too complicated - price will vary according to complexity. By the way the job came in at the quoted price.
