i cant say for 360 spider, but a 575 will DESTROY a DB9 in speed dept, not just beat, but DESTROY. DB9 only has 425hp, and that's not like the 425hp in the CS either, with its weight and gear ratio and etc, DB9 might not even beat a modena coupe.
Just get the 360 spyder, awesome car. Chicks dig it and you will love it for the summer. Don't worry about potholes. The car clears almost anything (better than cs). Hadn't had any problems with since taking delivery. Talk to Chris Miele at FoCNJ, he will definitely get you your car.
someone called me? well i am caught in between. both Chris at FOCNJ and Gianni at FOLI will get you a nice car. it honestly all depends on what they have in stock to match your criteria. now that should get moved up on the 430 list or what?
what kind of quarter mile times does a 2002 360 spider run? I'm spoiled by my old Mopars, I have a relatively stock 66 hemi that runs 12.20's!
Hey eli I think I sat behind u and ur son during qualifying in montreal. ur elbow kept hitting my knee hehe. I was wearing a white t shirt with blue sun glasses and black ferrari hat.
Apologies to being a nitpicker but slight correction. The DB9 has 450 horsepower. With 420 lbs/ft of torque. But I get what your saying regardless.
better concentrate on 1/8 mile times, 1320ft is a long trip for a ferrari my guess would be low 13's @ 115-116 mph
im not sure of the exact specs but one of the reasons they made the Vanquish S was that nobody was buying the vanquish anymore cause the DB9 was just as good
they actually have the same engine... The DB9 has a better transmission though. Im not too sure about the 360 beating it either. I remember a Top Gear review when they compared the latest DB7 to a 360 modena and if I remember correctly the DB7 was quicker at low-end speeds, but the Ferrari had better acceleration. The DB9 is 20 times better than the DB7, and thats the whole point. So if you're talking about speed, the DB9 is up there with the 575. Although the 575 may be much quicker than the Vanquish S, it is due to weight. And I doubt he will be tracking this car, so none of that makes much of a difference. _______________________________________________________________ For everyday useage, the DB9 (you'd be able to get brand new, under your price limit) will probably be cheaper to run. I dont think I would even buy the 575 brand new because ofcourse the Murcielago is just as drivable for daily use - maybe less practical, but at the same time you have a 360 spider on your list.
no that was not my son that was my uncle with the white hair and his son. i was sitting to the left of him. i was wearing also a white t shirt and a red ferrari had and sun glasses and talking to michael sitting next to chris
Yes pretty much. The "standard" Vanquish is listed at 460 HP and the Vanquish S is listed at 520 HP. Obviously the S was brought along to give some distance between itself and the new DB9 but both versions are still being built.
Really, I think AM is poaching their own clients with the DB9 and the Vanquish (non S). And they should really, REALLY regear their cars for the American market, bc they are not quick enough - we are all stoplight heros, not 120mph+ gran tourismo drivers. Of course, this is all in my own humble opinion...
Right, and we won't see any huge changes in the Vanquish until around 2008 when a new Vanquish is planned. It could be totally all together different looking than the current Vanquish so they might even change the name. Car is supposed to be lighter and better interior packaging for rear passengers and better trunk space. With a stated perhaps more horsepower as well. So the cars will remain somewhat similiar for the next few years. I like the Vanquish as well though and love how it sounds.
