I am looking to purchase a low mile 2001 550 and like the silver one in the FerrariAds.com

It can be found at http://www.ferrarichat.com/pp-classifieds/showproduct.php?product=77

I would like some feedback on what would be a good price to offer on that car. Any comparables from closed transactions on similar cars would be greatly appreciated.

It is just tough to value these cars when the transaction prices seem to be far off the asking prices.

    Any help is appreciated.

I think in todays market, 150 is fair retail price. A dealer would probably pay in the area of 135 now.
I think a price of 135 to 140 would be a good price to get into an 01 for with low miles. It would be up to you whether you wanted to do the belts or not. It most likely does not need them but the car is now three years old and doing a 30K service and belts may find a few items that need repairing. If you had a dealer do that you may be able to negotiate a full factory warranty also. They may not though if they do not sell you the car.
I purchased a 8000 mile 2000 550, shields, quilted rear shelf, new P-zeros, electric daytona seats, and red calipers, for 130K. The car was flawless. Then threw in 10K extra for a 30K and belts and full factory two year warranty.
The prices are dropping still. It depends whether you have found the perfect car that you want. If so, a little more money is not important if it is exactly what you want and a perfect car.
    good luck.

imo, fwiw, wholesale on this would be around 120. maybe a tad higher - it's a desirable color combo.

    i don't see 150 retail on it.

LMAO! They have a "Buy it now" of 159K on a "Plain Jane" 2000 Euro, needing a major!

That car is worth 112K on its best day (110K by summer)! 0 bids....shocker!

Dave, Do you know those guys? What did they do, trade it straight up for a Z8?

oh - it's a euro? didn't notice that bit of data.

very hopeful price, to say the least.

shouldn't scare off a buyer if the federalization was done right, but that number isn't close to rational then.

I guess I need some education here then.
How can you tell it's a Euro? I didn't notice it ion the ad. Perhaps I just missed it?
To me this is an absolutely LOVELY car! 5000 miles! I'd rather buy one needing a service and have it done myself.
110k by summer? really? Ok, I'm in the market now. Who needs a nice 348 Turbo?

Turn signal repeaters on each front fender.

Two ways. The side repeater light (by the shield) and the (telltale) three 0's in the vin.

Stunning. The black carpet offset is the reason.

Yes. There are higher mile 2000 Euros around for 115K right now that have been sitting...Plus, a fellow FChatter recently dropped 119K for a pristine 2000 with FHP, modular wheels, daytona seats and 250 shelf.
