I'm guessing you need some kind of OCR (optical character recognition) software to extract the text, the sort that scanners come bundled with. I think you can find them for d/l, may not be free though.

Adobe Acrobat comes with OCR capability, and I think it's possible to extract the text to a .txt file (which can then be converted to a .doc), will be quite messed up though.

20 minutes to type it in. Or 40 to install software, configure it, run it, then fix all the formatting and recognition mistakes. Get to work.

It's better to do most of the work and have someone polish it up for you.

The reason I live in a million dollar home "paid for" is because I always keep the door open for an opportunity. My background is in the I/T, Telecom industry. I did hate my job but I also made a ton of cash. I am looking forward to starting my job on Jan 03/05 at Subaru But! just in case things don't go well I want to keep my options open. Next challenge how do I explain to a potential employer on why I went from a 6 figure job to a ???? figure job at Subaru. Get the picture.

    OK,

    So,

Rolm, buddy from the great white north state of AmeriCa.

You live in a million dollar house?

First of all, who asked? Where in ANYONES post did ANYONE ask anything about your house?

I am just confused as you seem to have had a busy day up there in Canada.

I mean, between not knowing how to write up a resume to getting a job at the Subaru dealership, so you can "one day buy a Ferrari", to gettting a hard on over a case of oil, to wondering how you can help GM buy Ferrari I guess....oh wait..I see it now...

    Scenario # 2.

Waiting in the Million dollar house, you decide, screw this IT crap, I am heading to the Subaru dealer to work around SRX's, cause there cool and stuff. On my way there, you realized," maybe I should keep my options open and start a new resume......oh crap..a box of oil just fell off the truck...that was a close call...I should go pick it up....Hey look, Subaru guys, I have a case of oil, can I get a job? Cool!" Then, on your way home, with your pinky in your mouth, you decide...maybe world domination is my bag baby, and you decided to call the CEO of GM and tell him to buy out Ferrari since fiat is headin down..

And what are you going to do today????????????????????????

    Hi George,

Thanks for your interest in resume services! I had a chance to review your request and we would be very interested in helping you secure your next sales director position. We've helped hundreds of sales professionals advance their careers! Is there a specific position you're pursuing, or will you be targeting a number of employers?

We're a highly consultative resume firm, meaning that we work closely with you to learn about your accomplishments and work on your resume for hours -- writing and designing a document that maximizes calls for interviews. We have found that the combination of the questionnaire and phone consultation provides the best information with which to develop a winning resume.

After reviewing the details of your project, the professional resume fee is $350 or you can order a resume, cover letter, and ASCII (plain-text) package for a discounted fee of $450. Details of services can be found at http://www.resumepower.com/resume_writing_service.html.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call me or send an email to [email protected]. If you would like to order, just say the word and I will get you started.

George, thank you again for your interest, and I look forward to hearing from you.

    Take care,
    Kim
