I currently am using a Colibri Alias, I like it but i just have the itch to get something new. so whats a good recommendation and don't say ST Dupont cause I don't want to drop more than about 100 on a lighter.

    Cutter:
I'm a double blade guillotine guy and I actually broke my latest one so im resorting to using my back up scissors style on I have. again nothing over about 50ish please.

I love DuPonts. You can get a dupont torch for around $100. The mini ones may be less. I have one I think I spent about $75 one. IIRC What is odd is the dupont torches are/were made by colibri, I was told by several people, but they work great. My colibris have been junk.

If you want a good lighter that isn't expensive I have some Solo lighters that have lasted years, they were around $20. Stay away from vector, the ones i have tried have been crap.

I've used a lot of cutters, the best I have found is the Palio. It is not expensive, has thin blades that seem to help, built in cigar rest, and lifetime warranty. If you find a place that sells them and you have one you can give them yours and get a new one from them if yours is getting dull or something.

My current Palio is at least 5 years old and still cuts great.

I used to use Xikar but when they switched from German blades for taiwanese manufacturing with taiwan steel the quality of the cut changed, they new ones also do not hold an edge as well. They started pinching my cigars instead of cutting them.

    Dupont X-tend....

Around the price you want to pay and a good lighter. I just used mine as a matter of fact!

It's 5+ years old and still going strong!

I actually like Xikar cutters and punches, reasonably priced and easy to use, as for lighters...any cheap Baide lighter with no aromatic fluid works well, can pick them up in Q8 for a dollar :) or ask your cigar dealer for cigar matches, they usually throw a couple or more in with a purchase. I've bought fancy lighters before but they are a PITA to use and maintain.

Is there a pocket sized Boston that isn't a V cut? I haven't found one.
