Hello Everyone, I am in need of assistance if anyone can please guide me or provide some feedback. I am removing the dashboard in my 360 coupe. I have successfully removed a lot of it however I ran into a dilemma on how to remove the pillar upholstery. There is a very useful thread which has taken me most of the way through it. The reason, I can use it entirely is because it is for a spider, and I have a coupe. See below: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/360-430/256904-pulling-dash-360%3B-bringing-back-my-daily-driver-new.html Can anyone please give me advise on how to proceed. Thank you!
To remove the upper dash you need to remove the “A” pillars 1st. It is impossible to remove the dash with them in. They fit in a bracket attached to the upper dash & as you probably noticed the dash wont side out. To do that you start from the back of the car & work your way forward. The aft ends of each piece is secured with a screw under the piece behind it. The forward ends have metal tabs that go into slots. As an example. You start by removing the side trim behind the doors that the seat belt goes through. Pry up on the bracket & remove the bolt on the slide support for the seat belt. Pry the square adjust button off. The side trim (#9) is held by plastic press retainers like you find in regular car door panels. Pull back the door seal from around the side panel. Then with a plastic wedge pry the side panel loose working from the sides & top. The seat belt will still be going through it so I just set it aside behind the seats. I wedged a dowel under Panel #6 to access the screw securing panel #4 & #5. Panel #4 & #5 also have two of those plastic retainers holding it & will need to be pried to remove it. Now you can remove panel #2. Start by removing the dome light assy & sun visors. Then remove the two screws on the ends. This exposes the screw at the top end of the “A” pillar #1 & #3. About half way down on the “A” pillar is another screw off to the side under the door seal. With those two screws finally out you can lift the “A” pillar from the slot in the dash.
