Need help: Replacing fuel filters on a Testarossa.

    What are the proper steps and precautions to take when replacing fuel filters on a Testarossa? TIA.

    Remove gas cap to eliminate any pressure in the tank and do it when the motor is cold. The filters are cleverly mounted above the exhaust so I dont want you to set the car on fire.

    Replace all the copper seals on the fittings and be sure to install the filters with the arrow pointing in the direction of fuel flow.

    When restarting have someone else start the car while you stand over the engine compartment and check for leaks. If you don't see any wipe all around each fitting with your clean finger and then smell your finger for the presence of gas. That is about the only way to find small leaks. You have to have absloute zero leakage.
