These pictures may help you. Removing the top bearing in the first picture will reveal the circlip. I removed this bearing by slipping some large washers in the gap between the bearings and driving with a hammer on the washers from the rear side.

The circlip is then removed but the flywheel is tight on that second bearing. I made up a bar and bolted it to the flywheel to add some removal tension to the flywheel. Then one sharp tap on the rear had the flywheel off.

    Nick,

Can you describe your process for cleanly removing the T/O bearing cover? You made the lip of the bearing cover look so nice it is ready to be reinstalled and peened down over the bearing housing quite nicely.

Thank you terry for this photo, i never sean it before and now well understand why I did not manage to remove it !
I red too that the bearings cound not be found elsewhere than in a ferrari dealer parts !!?? true ? they dont look very special....I bought kluber that is shure that this grease is special.
I removed the bearging cover easily with a little facom screwdriver, I already done it on my 348 but needed to change the bearing cover but on this 355 I will put the old one ...
I will finaly have a new TO clutch bearing for 150 euros..I prefer to spend money for the things I cant done .... painting....engine settings...
I say that and finaly I done the cam cover and airbox painting myself !!!

I finaly managed to open the flywheel and found a grey grese, more fluid than the one I bought, no more grease on the springs, everything had gone. But my seal is ok, the grease stay into the flywheel. That was the reason of my noisy clutch (clac clac clac...)
I cleaned everything an will put the klubber soon...If it is logical I sould put it only where move the springs but Im not shure.
where did you put it elsewhere ?
thanks again for your help, I was becoming silly !
