Hello,I'm in the process of changing all the parts from my sticky center console. All was going well until i got stuck trying to remove my gear knob.It felt stuck although it was moving as i was using the spanner to unlock the nut.Unfortunately,I damaged the gear knob nut, forcing it in the removal process attempt.Any tips to help me remove my gear knob without forcing on the nut and damaging it even more?
    Cheers from Paris,

I saw your post and if it is a 348 i can help.... although i would imagine that a 355 would be the same setup.
The nut that secures the knob has to be loosened first. So as you are looking down at the knob place your open end wrench on the nut below the gear knob and turn clockwise to loosen it. You only have to turn the nut 1 turn at the most. Then the gear knob should unscrew off the lever by turning it counter clockwise.
Be sure that when you screw the knob back on do not over tighten as you will crack the gear knob.
