    Hey Guys,

    I need 2-ea. battery cables for my 79 308GTB.

The ends of mine are hammered.

I've checked with T. Ruthands (who did a search as well), with no results.

    Please held.

    Thanks, Chris.

Check with Daniel at http://www.ricambiamerica.com. He tracked down at least one for me but I haven't gotten back to him again. As soon as I get some more of my car back together I think I need to replace mine as well.

If you don't mind posting it, what would a set run for a '78 308GTS? If you do mind posting I'll try giving you a call sometime soon.

Edit: Stock/factory parts for these seem to be just about extinct!

    Thanks,
    John

I have a price on the computer at work. The problem here in north america is fitting availability (the ends). We bring the ends from europe and all the metric tools for crimping. They are as close to the originals as possilbe. We can also make them to any custom lenght.

You can probably find a (-) cable that will work "off the shelf" at any local parts place.

The (+) cable would obviously be more car/make specific cuase of length.

That is of course unless you want/need OEM specific cables....

I would suggest to use marine cables from these people. I have bought some cables from them and they were superb. They are tinned and made with micro strands thus very limp and pliable (and carry more amps). They also sell all different fittings for both end in any size/combination. You can purchase solder "pellets" that simply insert in the fitting and you melt them with a propane torch and insert the stripped cable or just use some solder (rosin core).
Although I purchased them for my boat, if I replace the battery cables for the F. I would only and exclusively use these.
