I need some assistance. The car in the picture is a 1986 328 GTS. Could someone, with the same car, please provide me the Bosch number that is on the side of the fuel injection unit that is located in the bottom right hand corner of the picture? I would like to check to see if the unit on the car is the right unit for this year and make. The Bosch number that I took off the unit is 0 438 100 139. There is also a sticker on the unit that reads ‘Remanufactured by Fuel Injection Corp’. Has anyone ever had any work done by Fuel Injection Corp?

    Thanks.

Darolls - thanks. I have already checked the website. I was just curious what the actual units on the car say.

    Hi Scott,

(I think you're covering up the WUR?) Looking at the one in my hand, from my August 1988: 0438140 cast then 132 stamped. Also has a "086" (or "980") and "344" stamped on it.

Sorry can't help you on rebuilder. Larry Fletcer (Fletch62) might be able to.

    :) Carl

PS: Hey where's Lakeview? I'm moving to Rochester in 2 weeks.

Carol - thanks for the reply. The number I am looking for is for the black air flow sensor in the bottom of the picture. Do you have that number handy by chance?

Glad to hear that you are moving to MN. Lakeville is located 60 miles north of Rochester. Send me a PM when you get settled.

Mark - thanks. Where did you find this information? I have never seen a "engine operation & checking procedure" manual before.

It's about 120 or so pages, fuel injection & ignition systems, 308, 328, on others with CIS system. Theory, operation, checking procedures, etc. It has detailed diagrams, flowcharts, and specs of all related components, more detail than the WSM. I picked it up years ago to diagnose a 328 fuel pressure problem, very detailed procedures with diagrams, a must have to troubleshoot or just to see how every component works. It has the Ferrari logo on the front, but no publication number or copyright info, very informal. I showed it to Ken Mckay, (head of Ferrari Technical in the 80s), he said it looked familiar, prob for tech training. If you need specific info, let me know.
    Here's a couple more:

Mark - thanks again. Since that book contains info on both 308 and 328, does it give specific year information? The first response that you sent showed the same Bosch number as the unit I have. Is this number specific for a 1986 328? I just want to make sure that the correct year fuel distributor is on the vechicle and not that of a 308. Thanks again and sorry to keep bothering you.

Following up on my original email, in the very first picture above, on the left side of the black Bosch fuel distributor, is a gold fuel pressure regulator. I believe the Ferrari part number is 128972. Has anyone ever had to replace one of these fuel pressure regulators? Is there a Bosch equivalent number? I will call around more on Monday, but just curious in the meantime.

    Thanks. Scott
