I really like your spec as it is - 1000GP looks awesome. The yellow piping on the seats brighten the interior up and visually ties the interior and exterior together with yellow accents, calipers, shields, etc. Alcantara wheel feels like it makes more sense given that the rest of your interior is alcantara (as much as possible).

Livery - I'm not a huge "stripes on a road car" kinda guy, but an 812C-style horizontal stripe across the front could be cool.

Congratulations! I remember we talked about the Rosso 1000GP in another thread, not long ago. I'm very happy that you opted for this paint, your 12C looks great and unique.
I would keep the steering wheel handgrips in leather for greater durability.
The giallo piping is great and matches the other items, but if you think it's too yellow, you could opt for the giallo stitching, which is a little more discreet than the piping.
I think the Scudetto on the seats is really cool. It gives a bespoke and classic feeling, even though it's a relatively new option.
I wouldn't put stripes on it, because you already have a very beautiful and exclusive paint in your 12C, and the giallo details are already creating a nice contrast, sporty and elegant. The stripe would be a "third color" and would clash with the beautiful 1000GP + giallo combination.

Same here. I find flat paints much more pure, beautiful and timeless.

I’m not a fan of 1000GP really but given that is your preferred colour I like the spec. I haven’t spec’d yellow calipers for a while but they look good here. It also ties in with the yellow edging on the seats which lifts the black alcantara. Two points to make; the ghost stripe is theoretically a nice idea but we did that on our SF90 spider with blu eletrico on blu brillante and it is a little too subtle so if you want it noticeable out of the sun then go a couple of shades different. Secondly, I love the alcantara wheel in the 812C. It feels fantastic and very sporting. On a spider used more regularly and with the top down it might not be such a good idea so think carefully. Overall, really nice spec IMO.

Are you getting the front strip in Carbon?
    Code FBWC
    Do you know the price?

    CEXD costs 12,166
    CEXG costs 2,607
    CEXD costs 10,254
    FCWS costs 7,821
total for these 4 carbon options in USD $35,455
plus the unknown costs of FBWC

I am not opting for the front strip in carbon. It should be mentioned, even if you spec that part in carbon, it will NOT match the other carbon bits. Ferrari has done a poor job of communicating that the front strip only comes in a contrast color to carbon. It’s carbon, but not in conventional color as traditional carbon. The Ferrari Atelier team made that clear to me, but I know that there’s a ton of misinformation surrounding that carbon piece. I can imagine that quite a few people will end up very surprised when they see their cars with mismatched carbon.

Here are the carbon bits I am opting for:

    Interior Carbon
    $7,821 - Cockpit Area
    $2,806 - Sill Kick
    $4,171 - Central Tunnel
    $5,214 - Steering Wheel w/ LEDs
    $7,811 - Door Panel Inserts

    $27,823 - Total

    Exterior Carbon
    $12,166 - Rear Diffuser
    $2,607 - Front Air Vents
    $10,254 - Exterior Sill Cover
    $7,821 - Front Spoiler

    $32,848 - Total

    I think it's great.

Reading your description and seeing the comp I thought it was to McDonald's.

Your rendering looks great. I think the less is more concept is what is important here.

The silver wheels are perfection with this color.

I thought I was going to hate the yellow on the seats but it looks fantastic. Keep the interior yellow to that....and that's it. Don't do yellow stitch.

I think a silver or dark red stitch would be nice as well instead of the yellow on the seats as an alternative.

I would pass personally on the suede steering wheel. It just never lasts and for some reason I'm always self conscious of it getting dirty. Thats a mind game against me though... To many years detailing cars at the dealership when I was a kiddo.

Interesting detail about the special contrasting carbon for the front strip
That explains the high price tag

And i miscalculated the exterior carbon I included the titanium exhaust pipes which iI'm getting

    your math is perfect

    Build is great but pricey

First of all, great spec and congratulations on the car!

1). My 458 Speciale has a full Alcantara interior but an all leather steering wheel and it looks perfectly fine. You don't even notice it.
2). The yellow dreamline on the seats is an awesome touch! It makes the car unique as I haven't seen a car with that option yet. It also coincides with the yellow dreamlines on the paddles. It looks like the perfect amount of yellow.
3). I have done liveries before but have to say, your car looks perfect without one! Don't overthink it.

Take all of the above with a grain of salt. If you don't like something, change it! Because if you don't, you'll always think about what it could have been. Again, congrats on the car! Its going to be downright awesome!

I finally devoted the time to calculating what this car will cost. Ferrari has always done a masterful job of keeping the final price difficult to calculate. Armed with the detailed order guide and price sheet, I think I am close. Even though this is my 3rd time building a new V12, I am still a little surprised by how quickly it escalated.

    459,000 - Base Price

    $37,000 - Special Paint - Rosso 1000GP
    $13,035 - Racing Seats
$6,083 - Diamond Seat Square Variation
$5,466 - Extrarange Alcantara (full seats)
    $5,214 - Exterior Mirrors Painted
    $1,565 - Calipers
    $10,428 - Privacy Glass Roof
    $14,834 - Airbrushed Logo
$2,607 - Grigio Corsa Opaco Rims
    $695 - Silver Dedication Plate
    $2,850 - Back Radar
    $3,476 - Advanced Front Headlights
    $11,297 - Hifi
    $1,390 - Mobile Carpets
    $5,214 - Fixed Carpets Alcantara
    $4,684 - PIP8 in Extrarange Alcantara
$1,304 - Lower Cockpit Zone in Alcantara
    $1,738 - Dashboard Alcantara Spec
    $6,083 - Passenger Display
    $782 - STC2 Stitching in Color
    $1,304 - Heat Insulating Windscreen
    $435 - Passenger Aluminum Footrest
    $1,217 - Long & Thin Italian Flag
    $3,122 - Dreamline F1 Paddles
    $2,607 - Embroidered Full Shield
    $2,343 - Alcantara Hand Grips
$3,903 - Colour Livery Upper Arch

    $150,676 - Sub-total

    Interior Carbon
    $7,821 - Cockpit Area
    $2,806 - Sill Kick
    $4,171 - Central Tunnel
    $5,214 - Steering Wheel w/ LEDs
    $7,811 - Door Panel Inserts

    $27,823 - Sub-total

    Exterior Carbon
    $12,166 - Rear Diffuser
    $2,607 - Front Air Vents
    $10,254 - Exterior Sill Cover
    $7,821 - Front Spoiler

    $32,848 - Sub-total

    $7,500 - Destination/Additional Fees (estimated)

$714,847 - Total MSRP (plus any interior Alcantara details and options I added but failed to identify on the price guide)

Of course, I am doing myself no favors with the special paint, painted shields, hifi, Alcantara interior, carbon, glass roof, and passenger display. As I look back, my previous super loaded 2019 812 SF came with a $470,367 MSRP. It didn’t have special paint, Alcantara, painted shields, or passenger display. My current 2023 812 GTS came with a $617,909 MSRP and features special paint, painted shields, and passenger display. The GTS is pretty equivalent except for the glass roof and Alcantara interior. Both are Atelier designed cars. Both are relatively high MSRP cars for those years/models.

Bottom line, Ferrari went super hard on the 12C. That much is clear. At least I can gain some comfort knowing that Ferrari V12’s are my favorite cars (at least among the cars that I can afford).

Exactly…different color versus standard carbon. A little tricky and I am sure many owners will miss this distinction.

Yes, it will be a challenge to spec these as there are so many options available .... Ferrari are evidently intent on getting buyers to spend as much as possible. The lower body painted pack option PPE1 is available in several colours for example and can also be ordered in additional colours upon special request but not in matching body colour (see relevant section below).

Anyone spec'ing one should request the Personalisation guides from their dealer which are available on MODIS to download in PDF format. There are two guides for each model i.e. two guides for the berlinetta and two for the spider. The second guide has things like the livery options and coloured carbon options.

I ran some quick math. If I removed special paint, Alcantara interior, painted shields, glass roof, and passenger display, the MSRP would be roughly $624,000. That would make the 12C spec roughly equivalent to my former 812 SF spec. That is a 32.8% increase versus the inflation adjusted rate of 25.7% which would imply a $591,293 price. Of course, this is back of the napkin math, but the price increase is more than inflation, but not much more.

Ferrari appear to have "fixed" a number of issues that were confusing or not available on previous models. For example ordering contrast stitching on the seat centres of the 296 is/was not straightforward and the standard stitching on these areas matched the chosen main leather or alcantara colour whereas with previous models all stitching was done in the requsted STC1 or STC2 colour if that option box was ticked. I was caught out on this with my GTB but made sure to find out the relevant code so as not to repeat it on my GTS. The stitching on the 12 C seat centres has reverted back to the old rule of following the chosen thread colour from what I can see in the Personalisation guide. Another thing they must have listened to customers on is to make both the rear Ferrari script and rear cavallino badge available in matching finishes with chrome being standard and either satin or satin black as options. Previously they would not offer the Ferrari script in black.

Sorry for thread hijack on this but it may help others avoid making errors as you say.

So if the F80 red is 'Rosso Supercar' then is the F80 yellow called 'Giallo Supercar' to? That yellow is definitely a metallic color. Typical of a yellow it is more difficult to photograph accurately.

I tried - have to wait a year to order it. I don't know if it's a year after production or year after introduction.
Makes sense if it's a Ferrari customer but why on a color they made - Ferrari,

    Love your thought process
But cars are a depreciating asset
As a rule they lose value And more losses if you paid over sticker (Dealer premiums)

    With Ferraris you
can make mistakes which can cost you more money, such as picking a polarizing color combination. Hence the safety of re-sale red.

Optioning stuff that that the next buyer wont value

Letting an unskilled tech perform complex work on your car.

Letting your latest girlfriend drive the car

Modifying with cheap aftermarket carbon parts

Racing against Motorcycle gang members at the light.

The replacement model makes your model look old and slow--Thats the reality of the future.

I think your spec looks nice and don’t have much comments on anything other than the yellow stripes on the seat.

if you get rid of the yellow stripes- I will personally fly out to Charlotte and beat your ass!! The seats are the best I’ve ever seen. Spectacular!!!
