I am having a problem with the drivers seat on my 308. The adjustment cam doesn't hold, and the seat is always sliding. I am posting some pictures, and hoping to get some advise on how to make it right. It seems the shaft is slightly bent, and the support for the shaft is at an angle. Does it need the spring to be adjusted, does it need to have the shaft straightened, do I need a new unit? Anyway, any thoughts or advise is appreciated.

Clamp it in a vise and use some gentle persuaion to straighten out all the bends then a bit of white lithium. The rod looks bent, and the strap hinges the rod passes through for sure. The strap hinges should be flat, perpendicular to the track. They get rusted and gummed up, and hamfisted people pull up on the rod and bend everything up like a pretzel.

Well, after some aggresive persuasion, I got it back to where it should be. Seat move back and forth with ease, and locks in position nicely. Thanks for the advise.
