I installed my Tubi after getting my new 348 from Europe. It’s fully stock. But I can’t get the exhaust to fit. The passenger side is pretty centered but sits too close to the bottom of the bumper and I’m scared it’s gonna burn the paint.
The driver side is actually touching the inside edge of the bumper and also too high.

    So what are my options?
I loosened the cats and everything and had it all centered but once I clamp the cats down it goes right back to this.
Can the cats translate fore and aft or do the hit a stop and that’s where they go? Are the top connections with the springs adjustable up and down?
I just need half inches here and there. Frustrated cause I can’t drive my new car now.

You have to remove the cats and likely replace a new washer between the cat and the header. Then we fit it along with the exhaust and realign the exhaust to lower it before you tighten.

    Sorry that’s not very clear.
By washer you mean those donuts?
Fit what along with the exhaust?

I did realign to lower it but like I said once I tightened everything back down it goes back to this position.

Donuts yes the big thick soft metal gaskets. Need to replace them to get a new crush alignment otherwise it goes back to where it was or leaks.

Ah ok gotcha, thanks. I did buy new ones but didn’t use them because the originals looked so good.

You need to dig the old ones out they sit recessed in a cup. Tighten both ends of that cat evenly back and forth.

When I did mine I used new doughnuts on the Tubi but not on the cats. But I had to loosen the cat to manifold clamps and the Tubi to cats, centre the exhaust and the tighten everything up carefully to keep it in the right place. You need the movement on both joints to adjust it correctly.

I had the same as Mavic850 above new donuts on the exhaust only, but had to loosen everything back to the headers, from memory you have to do the bolts on the joins evenly as well, small amount on both sides evenly as if you do one side up too tight it will change the alignment. Once it was tight and sitting straight I adjusted the mounts to just take the weight. Alot of fiddling involved, you aren't far off by the looks, keep trying.

Yea, there’s an exhaust shop here in Dallas I have worked with who was going to do the same.
I got it mostly lined up after much knuckle busting and bad words. But I am certain this thing wasn’t manufactured correctly. Now that I have it lined up and tightened down one of the top mounts with the springs isn’t even close.
This car doesn’t sound nearly as good as my Mondial T with hyperflows so I’m going to get some high flow cats and redo everything in the near future.

I fitted my Tubi last year, fitted perfectly after some giggling. I have cat bypass pipes. The sound is heavenly.

Remember you can effectively "shorten" the lengths of the original cats by adjusting the position of the "stop" clamp to allow the pipes to come forward more. I discovered this when the muffler can on my Capistro was pressing on the bumper.....
