    Ok All,

As usual, I checked the threads. May have missed it but I didn't find it.

Got the temp sender out and the tube guide(?). The oil pan STILL WILL NOT COME OFF.

It drops down about 3 inches and then hangs up. I can tip it toward the nose of the car and then it will drop another couple of inches. It then hangs up permanently on the bell of the oil pick-up. The bell is then so off center as compared to the hole in the OEM baffle the pan will not drop down any further. I cannot tip the pan toward the rear of the car at all anywhere during this process.

It will NOT COME OFF!!!!! WTH am I missing?!?!?!?!

Did you get the tube extension/ dipstick guide out?
Even with those out it still takes a wiggle as the pickup fits through a big hole in the top baffle.
OFF TOPIC- Did you check where your Sender for you speedometer is Top or Bottom of the transaxle.

    Stephen,

Your first question-- YES. It is out. Temp Sender too.

Wiggle-- hell I am going to have to bend or break something (the oil pick-up) IF I have not missed something else. The hole in the baffle for the bell-shaped pick-up is just too off-center. The oil pan does not just drop except perhaps the first 3 inches or a "smiggen" (impercise but useful and generally acknowledged unit of measurment) less. Titling and wiggling don't seem to have any positive effect. Tried for over an hour w/no luck, hence this post.

Sorry I hosed you. I'll check the speedo pick-up in the AM and post here 2-morrrow.

Also OFF Topic. As to the Mondial 8 guide. I think I'll have to send it to you for scanning and distro if you can handle it. I changed jobs and no longer have access to a scanner. I'll send it registered, etc. I'll let you know when it is coming.

Off Topic: I Can handle it.

Topic: I did this August 2007 when I put the extra baffle in. If it is not locked solid now try rotating the pan parallel to crankcase b4 lower and twist. Sorry I can see what I mean but can' find the words.

When removing mine, the pan assembly had to be twisted toward the rear of the car by as much as 30 degrees or so before sliding the rest of the assembly out of the bottom - be VERY careful regarding the funnel pickup as you slide the pan assembly rearward and down.....
