Can anybody provide a domestic source for window felt for my 1977 308? Mine is pretty ragged.

Also, I'm going to need to rivet the new stuff in place, like the current piece.

Can anybody provide info on the correct rivet tool type and rivet size needed?

    Much appreciated,
    Greg

i just ordered my window felt today (attaches to door panel) from trutlands in bulk. this is the only place i could find it. i will use a standard rivet tool and buy some short rivets.

i dont think their felt is exactly as original, but i think it will work according to their description of the felt strips.

Thanks John, I'll check out T Rutlands. I really don't need bulk, just enough for 2 doors. Maybe 6 feet total.

Can you provide any info on the exact rivet tool type/rivet size needed?

    Thanks,
    Greg

i bought 8 feet just to be sure. by bulk, i ment they sellit by the foot. any standard rivet tool will do - got mine from sears. the rivets are a different story. i went to a local upholstery shop and bought some rivets to try. i wont get around to actual riveting until after i dye the panels - which will be a couple of weeks. if i find the rivets that work, i will let you know. i just picked up different size rivets from what they had - i think the length is going to be important in the rivet -(so it does not interfere with attaching the door panel to the door).
