Hi guys, I have bought a Quattroporte III recently and it has (I think) some kind of aftermarket exhaust tips.. The original ones were quite cool the last time a saw another of these cars. I have tried to get these tips, but it seems almost impossible. I would like to duplicate the original design at my local exhaust shop, and wonder if someone have the originals and could make a measurement as I don't think there are any of these around in my area... The correct design I am looking for is the design that has two single fat tips that are straight cut with a rolled (inwards) edge. These are only for the looks. The real pipe that goes to the muffler is quite a bit thinner in diametre than the tips. I would be extremely thankful for the one who could measure these precisely. Have a great weekend!! Erik
i am scrapping three cars. was to take them to scrap yard since all my effort to help people on this site and trust them has proven wrong when it comes to paying. i will look tomorrow. my be several left
That sounds great! I guess the best thing would be to chop them off at the end of the pipe towards the muffler..? I will of course pay you!! please email me with the result tomorrow in case you would find something usable. I am looking to get it right and in good condition before I start driving my QP.. My email is [email protected] Thanks!!! Erik
http://www.maseratinet.com/pc-11220-630-exhaust-tip-set-q-porte-iii.aspx Check out this page. MIE have a set of tips for sale. Not sure their source. Stebro have a set too but there are some quality concerns expressed on the site in other places. The last set I got from them I had to have welded up to fit and repair weld holes. Ciao
What? Mitchell, I've sent you several PMs and emails with a long list of parts I've been looking for - and will pay for - and had understood that the problem was finding workers to actually disassemble the cars for you. As I wrote in my last email, instead of scrapping them it may be a better idea to sell them to one of the several parts outlets (MIE, Joedro, Eurospares, MaseratiResource, etc) as these cars are becoming rarer and many of the parts are difficult to find. I'd suggest that it's better to keep them as parts cars (selling them to someone else if you're not able to deal with them yourself) rather than scrapping them. Best regards
not getting any e-mail if u would post your e-mail here or sent to mine: [email protected] i will respond now
