Yes, you did fine at $33 each for the CIS injector + fat o-ring (and those truly are NOS since they seem to be the earlier steel material). Bruce I bought a set from same dealer. I tried to Low ball about half and failed. I think we settled at $399 (without checking). Installation is quite easy, getting the right open end or flare wrenches will help. After making the change, my car idles much smoother. My imagination says better acceleration but I know the idle is much nicer. I am cleaning my original set. After soaking in carb cleaner they seem to open more consistently with air pressure and spray better. I am not done cleaning yet but they will be my back up to put in at 100K miles! Ken
Ken, there's nothing like a new set. I've tried carb cleaner on carbs before & I just can't seem to get it to 'new' condition. I'm wondering if a pump can be hooked up to an injector & continuously run cleaner through it till it's 'done'!?...I'm sure that would have to be contained/spark free, kind of an explosive environment!
