As many of you know, I put together a car show that was held last weekend for my son's school. www.celebrationofwheels.com

It was very successful, in large part due to the exotic cars that were entered, including Jano's 348 spyder. I have set October 4, 2008 as our next event, and we are of course going to make it bigger and better.

One of the key things is that I want this to be a much bigger show for Ferraris and other Europeans.

My question for you guys is, how do I get more Texas F-chat members up to our show? What would be some things that we could do to draw interest from you guys? If we were to pay for your gas up here, would that do it? Instead of that, what if we paid for your lodging for 2 nights (assuming we could afford it)? Or if we had a Ferrarichat.com dinner the night before at a nice hotel or restaurant, would that help make it a more attractive event for you guys?

I would really appreciate any input that you guys have. I know get-togethers in the metroplex and Houston are quite common, but in Amarillo, this last weekend was the first EVER and it was just a huge hit with the TV stations, the Amarillo Globe News, and the radio stations.

If you don't feel comfortable posting on the site, feel free to PM me.

I really want more Ferrarichat participation next year! Thanks in advance for your ideas/thoughts!

I considered attending, but it happened to fall on the weekend that my kids were out of school for Fall break. When we get free days, we try to go somewhere as a family. It also happened to coincide with OU-Texas weekend, not that that had an impact for me, but it might have for others. For me, attendance isn't about the $$, it's about the time.

Great feedback Jim. I already checked next year and we do not conflict with Texas-OU.

I put very few events on my must attend calendar, all the others are a last minute decision, for this I would take a look several weeks ahead and might go. Will you let Unitarians into the show? :)
