who can supply these, Ricambi have you got them ??
Not to get off subject, but K&N filters tend to (1) get dirty faster, (2) if you oil them yourself to clean they could deposit film on the mass airflow sensors if you over-oil them(they can maybe even do this from the box), and (3) personally I'm not convinced they or any aftermarket filters increase performance at all, certainly not noticable by the seat of the pants. Just trying to help you make in informed decision and others disagreeing with me can chime in. You won't change my mind regarding them but this is a discussion forum after all so everyone has their own opinions. Personally, you literally could not give me K&N filters for my 360 for free and pay me money to install them- I wouldn't do it. I learned early to stay away from prior 911 ownership and issues people had in the porsche world. I will only use the regular paper air filters, no aftermarket stuff.
Andrew but I have been running K&N's for 10 years and think they are FAB, just need know to know where to updated buy tx. if I order via Swiss distributor it takes ages, so this (for me ) is not a debate about their merits, or otherwise. Fwiw. I wash and dry them before using to get rid of all the oil
Sounds good- just trying to point something out but you are well-informed on them (but I think by design they need some of the oil in them to operate correctly which is essentially why I won't use them). Sorry I can't help on where to purchase them.
But it was a very good point Andrew to mention your thoughts, with which I fully agree. I would never replace the cheap paper filter by anything else and certainly not BMC or K&N filters.
factory vs K&N for the price I'll go K&N. I would run them on the dry side plus you can buy them at Auto Zone or Pep Boys or any local auto part store. without the Ferrari tax
Just be careful not to over oil them, or only spray the side going the same direction as the air is going, this way over time, it'll even out on both sides.
I totally agreed. I had K&N, Blitz and HKS filters on different cars and they will make the engine sound more aggressive, but as far as keeping dirt out, stock is best.
