my insurance Company is trying to send a diminished value check to me and Porsche since I do not own the car out right. I was told this is not right. Any advice on what I need to do, or who I can contact. I can;t help but feel like I am being bent over nine different ways in this whole process. Thanks

Is the car leased from Porsche? I can only see that make a difference. The check has always gone to me on diminished value, even when i still owed on the car.

I am buying the car. That is why I have such a problem with it. I had to get a copy of the title and papers from Porsche to prove it was not leased and now they pull this kind of bs on me.

If Porsche Financial is a lienholder, even on a purchase as opposed to a lease, they cheque will probably reflect that. It's standard practice where I come from.

I would not feel like I was so screwed. First they made me get two statements stating that the car was not leased. This would ensure that I would receive the check, not Porsche. Second, I was told that I needed to get my own appraisals for diminished value. Dealer opinions were acceptable. After the fact I was told that dealer opinion was not acceptable and that even if I get a FOURTH opinion, Allstate is going to get their own fifth opinion. I just want somebody to not lie to me and be straight.

If you dont mind PM me the name of the insurnce comp. I own an exotic car rental comp and all my cars are financed, not leased. i have encountered all kinds of crap from insurance companies but this is new. I have collected DV a number of times and was not even asked if the car was financed, leased or even in my name. Some insurance companies (one perticular) will not pay anything over repairs until sued, and will give you a very hard time and drag it out hoping you will go away.
