Need Motorcycle transport!

    I've arranged to have my new R1 brought to me in Memphis from the DC area by FDX. I work for them and they gave me a nice deal on the delivery fee- BUT, they won't move it unless it's crated. The dealer holding the bike really doesn't want to crate it for me. Is there a service that does this? Does anyone have any ideas of how to bring my new baby home to daddy?
    I'll use a different transport if need be, but all things being equal would prefer FDX.

    I had my 748 shipped from mi to tn for about $400.

    Damn nice bike...SH$#! I just sold my 2002 R1 and now we have a drought going on in the NW???? Been sunny for like two months when we normally get 11 inches..Figures. Enjoy her! Be safe brother

    I've shipped more than a few without crating. There is a service that does that, but I've forgotten their name. WHen Daytona's done, I'll call Ulrich, and get the name for you.

    Thanks Art. However, I just got back home from DC. I brought it back myself, (yes 14 hr.s each way), inside a U-Haul trailer behind my Jeep Grande Cherokee. Done all in two days.
