    Most cars do not have the same size tires front and rear so since you only mention one size it could be you only want to replace rears in which case surely you should maintain the tire style & brand etc across all four wheels ?

    (one hundred minutes to bump: impatience rewarded !)

    true enough.
    the fronts are not hard to come by sizes, hence my only mentioning the rears.

    Michelins. I tried the Pirelli Trofeo R on my Scud and the PS2's. PS2 was much better. They now have 3,000 hard miles on them and still with acceptable tread. Better than I thought I would get, especially on the rears.

    A bit late, but this might be useful to someone

    daily = PS4S (new/updated version of PSS)

    Can’t go wrong with Michelin!

    Those are probably the best overall street tires available. If budget is a concern I like the Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 tires for about half the price typically. Not quite as good ultimate grip, but pretty comparable in the dry, and will likely last until the tires need replacement on most Ferraris. Very progressive breakaway, and chunky sidewalls for pretty good turn in.

    I have swapped P Zeros for MPS4Ss on two of my cars including my gated 430, and for my money the Michelins are the best tyres ever made.

    having said that, I was intrigued that lots of new 911s are coming with Eagle F1s. Maybe cost cutting I wondered but I drove a 992 carrera S across Europe last summer at high speed and they seemed pretty good. And the car generates cornering forces similar to modern Ferraris. Then I saw this review which is worth reading.

    So, worth considering. I am buying a nearly new 992 right now and if it had P Zeros they would have been straight out for MPS4Ss. But it has the Goodyears and I will leave them on and give them a go.
