I need some opinions about these pictures before I send them off to my work's website. I know you guys like cars and I guess I'm asking is this what you want to see in inventory pictures or not. Thanks to all those who respond.

PS: I know they are not f-cars but I might have some of those soon

Would you be more willing to buy the car if the pics were just of the Boxster sitting around in a boring old parking lot or these action shots and senic shots? I'm trying to get feedback from my most trusted group of people I know that know about cars. Thanks

Nice section of Loch Raven.. I used to take my car there for a little spirited drive every now and then.

Not so much interested in seeing the car at speed. Especially if you're trying to sell it. I want to see detail.... all angles and the interior. Perhaps one shot to prove the car actually runs but displaying pics of the car serves to decide if its worth checking out in person. Action shots don't convey that so much.

Don't know why exactly, but I prefer the static pictures. One thing you don't want to do is distract from the product, and the cars in motion seems more, um, distracting to me.

If I'm going to buy a car, any car... I want to imagine myself driving it. It takes away from the imagination if you're looking at photos of someone else driving it. I'd rather see pics of it still, no driver... waiting for me!

The stiils could be studio shots. The tree reflections are hurting my ability to see the lines better.

Use static shots. The buyer knows what a boxster looks like. Show them what THIS boxster looks like with hi-res detailed showroom shots.

    Just my thoughts,

One or two actions shots wouldn't be bad as long as they were in addition to quite a few detailed photos.

I think DC Motors in California has one of the better web picture layouts for cars for sale.
Take a look at the Ferrari 456 photos and data sheet here:
    http://dcmotorcars.com/details.html?VID=1-2l1177373030

A total of 22 photos for that car. All brightly lit. Mixture of close-ups and full car shots.

The other key thing is to have the inventory always up to date. Every car for sale should be displayed on the web site. And, as soon as the paperwork is started on a sale, some one should update the web site to say it is sold. In other words, updating a car as "sold" should be faster and easier to do than sending an email - and several people in the dealership should be able to do it - not just the webmaster. Any new cars added to the dealership's inventory should be posted on the website within an hour. Brand new entries could be posted with a few "quick and dirty" digital pictures until more professional shots could replace them later. Too many dealers let their website's inventory web pages lag behind reality by too much time. Anything more than a half-day out of synch is too much.

    Hope this helps. Good luck.

I would love to see beautiful pictures of a future purchase at a park or some scenic place...but not being driven...makes it look like someone elses to me...
