I am looking for an original (black w/ white #'s) shift knob. My car is missing the original one and I would like to get one. Any condition is ok as long as the plastic is all together. Please let me know if you have one and are willing to sell it. Thanks.

Just curious, are you trying to do concourse or really want to stay original? I replaced mine with a metal one and it really improves the interior looks of the car. I always found the plastic knob cheap looking.

The 328 knob is black with orange inlay - I swapped mine, as I like orange-on-black better than white-on-black. Too bad the gauges aren't orange-on-black on the 308 series....they didn't cut-over until the 328 came out.

I also have one in reasonable shape......a couple of fine hairline cracks. You are welcome to it if you need it.

If you are into orginality, thats great.

For me personally, I switched out my black plastic knob to a Hill Engineering polished knob... It made it feel like a different car!

I than sold my orginal shift knob on e-bay for more than I paid for the polished one.

Best/most cost effective upgrade I've made on the car so far.

www.RicambiAmerica.com has *new* 308 and 328 shift knobs (both white numbers and orange numbers) available for under $100.

As far as polished aluminum knobs, Team Voodoo makes them to *my spec* for all the 5-speed cars, sells them for $39.95 (I do *not* get any part of that!!), and was making them before Hill Engineering started making them. The picture they have on their website is the prototype knob on my car, at http://www.teamvoodoo.com/Voodoo/Ferrari.html.

If nothing else, go to Team Voodoo's home page at www.teamvoodoo.com and I'm sure you'll get a kick out of their version of a shield logo!! :)

Funny, I just ordered one of those today to match my new black with red trim interior! They also have pretty good prices on the Baldwin filters if you're like me and not near a distributor.
