    I need a high-res photo to use for the COVER of the FCA Calendar to be published for 2007. You must be the full rights owner of the photograph... if you're a photographer, here's an excellent opportunity. Of course, you have to be willing to donate its use to the non-profit, non-exclusive limited use. If you're a photographer that would like to let us use something special out of your portfolio, I can be reached via our website at www.fca-se.com

    We'll be sorting out the actual shots for each month later, but we're in a bit of a hurry to get the cover photo picked out so it can be used in some printed early promotional material.

    Thank you for the PMs and emails from several of you. What we need specifically for the cover shot is a full car, but "artsy"... vibrant colors with an eye-catching background. Photoshop'ing is acceptable, as long as it's high-res.

    I would be interested, providing I can get one or two copies of the calendar if it works out...I am not an FCA member ( :( ).

    I have attatched some sample photos. There are larger resolution versions available in a thread in the showroom forum, and should you want them for print I have them at 8+MP resolution, meaning about 48"x32".

    Let me know if you're interested, there's always more where these come from...

    Richard, those are exactly the style of "artsy" shots I'm looking for... great eye for composition and backgrounds. Even if one of those isn't selected for the cover, I'd be interested in using one (probably either your #1 or #4) for the inside pages. They're gorgeous. If you have similar shots with other Ferraris, let me know as we're continuing to plan out the entire calendar. It does *not* have to be FCA "member-only" shots.

    Richard,One of the best photogragh I have ever seen.If you don't do photography for a living you should consider it.

    Any chance of getting a copy/jpeg so I can print it out and put it up On my wall at home.

    Thank you all for the posts here and the PMs, calls and emails. We are down to the "top 3" for the cover photo, with final selection tomorrow. However, we will be gathering submittals to be considered for the inside calendar pages for the next several months, both full-car and "art" shots, so feel free to keep them coming.

    Keep in mind that you have to have them available in high resolution digital or ultra-high quality scans. You must be the copyright owner/originator of the photo, but not necessarily the owner of the car. Full-car shots have to have an interesting background, rather than just be in a group parked with other cars at an event. "Art" shots need to be sent with a note telling me what kind of car it is, if it isn't obvious from the shot itself.

    And the winner for the cover is... one of Richard's Enzo photos. Here's the cover layout from the publisher. Besides cropping to fit the calendar's dimensions, the only editing of the photograph I'm aware of was to "clean up" the stains on the asphalt.

    Richard, when a car looks better in a photo than in real life, its a good shot, eh? I am not really a fan of the Enzo, but those are some nice shots. Cudos.
