If any one has the time, I need a picture of the top crossmember where the lower dashboard connects. I have an additional bracket that is holding some electronics, might be the passenger side display. I don’t know if that bracket goes in front of the cross member or behind it. It does not have any threads and seems to be forced into both positions in front or behind the cross member. Right now I have it in front so it goes the lower dash cover, this bracket, and then the crossmember. Any help would be truly appreciated. The red arrow points to the bottom of the bracket I’m asking about. The green arrow is pointing to the crossmember.

I understand that asking folks to pull off the battery panel on their newer 400k car is asking a lot. So maybe some one has the shop manual that shows where that bracket should go? I have watched all of the videos I can find online and none of them have that extra bracket.

To me it looks correct the way you have it. Just screw the passenger foot rest in place with the round thumb wheel.

Thanks but the car In the video does not have this additional bracket. I have not been able to find a video that shows this bracket. So that’s why I’m thinking it has to do with the passenger side display. I have outlined the bracket a little better so that it stands out from the actual bolt. I just don’t know if it goes like this, in between the carpet and the crossbar, or it should go behind the cross bar. If it goes behind the cross bar then it will not be mounted to anything. It will just be hanging there.

Ive dismantled cars . It would be in the front. Never seen a bracket or anything ever held in place from the back.

Thank you. I have been avoiding driving the car until I figure this out. As I did not want any pressure on the electronics that the bracket supported.

See on the positive post you have an extra wire that is then clamped on another connecting point.

I dont have HELE on my 488 GTB even though it was available. So I dont have that cable. Its even easier to change the battery without HELE.
