My rears are almost bald and need tires, i think the OEM pirelli Pzero's would do just fine. Tirerack has then on back order and would rather not wait. Anyone know someone who has them in stock and with a decent price?

It's wise to do them all given the AWD setup. Try Michelin Pilot Sport PS2's or Bridgestone Potenza Pole Positions. Much better tires than the Pzeros in my experience.

About average for a performance tire. I generally get ~20k miles out of a set, but I'm running quite a lot of camber. Depends on your suspension setup and how you drive 'em.

I wouldn't mix and match, though. If you're just doing two, stick with the same brand/type.

In the 3 weeks i've had the PS2's on my Vette, they have made a huge difference in ride quality, road noise, and handling over the OEM Goodyears. I have P Zero's on the Vanquish right now and i personally think they are totally outdated for the performance of today's supercars. When they wear out i'm putting PS2's on that car too.

I would switch over to PS2s tire rack is forecasting end of Oct on the tires you want. I've had 2 pairs on back order for months now.

PS2's are good if you're going to be driving in the rain, if not then step up to the BFG G-Force T/A KD's. Completely horrible on wet roads but you'll wreck everything out there in the dry. Besides straight up road racing tires they're the grippiest ones you can buy. PS2's are an outstanding tire but if you're looking for the best than turn to the BFG's.

+1 Just buy two more rears. Get used to rear tire wear too. My 308 goes through a set of rears in 2000 miles. This is the penalty paid for having a rear engine set up.

thats because the 308 is a burnout monster. :)

actually you should probably get something checked out if your going through tires that fast, thats not normal as far as I know.

They only catch on fire most of the time.

That said, 2,000 miles is pretty extreme. I think even Robi gets better mileage than that. ;)

Check the alignment on the rear. (And the oil/fuel lines. :p)
