I'm looking at a couple of F355 prospects in North Carolina and I live in Ohio. I'm going to see them in a week or so and I need some advice.

I've talked to Brian Stewart in Indy about doing my PPI because he came recommended on FC and I feel he's pretty trustworthy. I'd really feel it's important to have a good comfort level with a guy who is going to sign-off on your purchase decision. NC however is a pretty good haul from there, so how do I pull this off? Brian indicated the to do a proper PPI you really need to bring the car to his shop, which makes sense to me.

Do you think a dealer would trailer the car to Indy to do the PPI on a contingency arrangement or is that a pipe-dream? What other options should I consider? I believe Algar or Ferrari Atalanta are the other two closest dealers who could do a PPI. Any chatters live in the east and have an alternate source or opinion on this matter?

I don't want to spend a fortune on travel/fees but I don't want to skimp on a crucial step either.

    Need advice.

Plenty of extremely good shops with gobs of Ferrari experience in NC. PM me. I'd be happy to help.

    Kindly,
    Daniel

My recent Lambo deal was done based on just such a contingency- car was shipped from Missouri to Frenchtown NJ, where Wil DeGroot's shop is located, with the understanding that the deal would be negatived if I was not happy with Wil's evaluation. I agreed to pay for the shipping to him and the money for the car purchase was already in "escrow" to establish my bona fides. That said, i don't know that you need to travel so far to get the PPI done on a 355. Get some recommendations from others on qualified mechs near the car.
