I want to get my brother some sort of sports watch that he can wear when he's coaching his kids, going to the gym, raking leaves or simply smoking a fatty...actually he has never smoked herb (can you imagine?).

Anyway, I am lost in this area of sports watches so any words of wisdom would be appreciated. I'm looking to spend about $100+ ...just to say thanks for fielding my daily calls throughout the year when my friggin computer gives me crap.

    Thanks.

Casio G-Shock or Timex Triathalon, for just a pure sports watch with timer, etc. For something a little nicer, check the Seiko watches. You can get something nice, water resistant, good quality, and nice styling for $100 to $200, up to $300 or so, if you want to go a little nicer.

I was gonna go with that exact brand. I personally believe Swiss Army is probably a good decent affordable watch and looks pretty good. 118.00 is not bad.

    You good shopper Jeff!

Hmmm, how about getting him a tall, buxom blonde with blue eyes wearing a Breguet watch? Oh, wait. you said about a $100. How about if she wore a Citizen watch?

Is he interested in boating, fishing or surfing? If you want a unique sports watch that can take a beating try www.ripcurl.com. They look great. What makes them different is they have tide height, tide range and moon phase instead of the usual chronometer.

Cool...Thanks guys...I was going to get the Casio G Shock b/c it was pretty much the look I wanted...but instead I stopped in at Dick's Sporting Goods in East Hanover last night and bought this one instead:

I didn't want anything that resembled dressy...more than I expected to pay but hey...my brother is worth it...and I didn't feel like going to the mall.

    Thanks for the help!

Wow, I wish I was your brother... and not just because of the watch, but because you own a Ferrari... :)
