I have a 2002 360 spider with daytona seats. The seats are fine, it's just I'm a big guy and want to change them to something that will sit lower in the car (for additional headroom for me) and are wider at the shoulder (so I can sit further back into the seat).

I'd don't have to keep the electric adjustment capability (but would like to if possible).

I'd like to have then in tan leather that is a match to the original equipment if possible, (but I could go with black since the car is black).

Do any of you have any recommendations?

Have any of you changed yours to seats for a bigger person?

Interesting post.. I'm 6'5 and I have a 2001 360 Spider with standard seats and I have plenty of headroom (at least 2 inches)

I have the headroom too, that's really not this issue. Maybe I should have posted it differently.

With the height of my torso, my eyesight is blocked significantly by the top of the windshield and rear-view mirror.

When at stoplights, I have to stop quite far from back from the light, or duck-down my head to the side to see it.

I also noticed that while touring throughout the mountains on curvy roads (especially when going up the mountain) the windshield top and mirror block my view even more, since you have to look up and into the curve to see the road ahead of you.

If I can get a seat where I can sit a little lower in the car (just an inch would be worth it) and also further back into the seat, (the side bolsters in the shoulder area on the stock seats are not wide enough for me so I don't really fit back into the seat well), then the visibility issue would improve.

I just expressed it as an improvement in headroom as a shorter description of the issue.

Did you ever see Tom Selleck in that 308? There is more room in the 360, but.....

The lowest seat are the racing seats, but they aren't the easiest to find.

I had the same problem in my 360. I ended up removing the Daytona's and installing sport seats. I loved them and they saved my back from all the hunching I was doing. My friend who does custom stereo and radar installs has many NBA players as clients. Most of them have Stradale's because they fit better in the standard sport seats.

I had this same issue, so I ended up finding a car with the carbon fiber racing seats, I love it. It's almost too low ;) I am also 6'4". The top still hits me on the head if I don't duck when putting it on.

Yeah, the CF seats are the way to go, they sit quite a bit lower and leave loads of head room. As others have advised though, you might find it easier to change the car than find the seats!
