Going to Seattle for a wedding in June. I've never been and I'm excited to see a new place. Any suggestions on which Hotel I should a book a room at?

    I've narrowed it down to:
    W
    Westin
    Fairmont
    Sorrento
    Edgewater

Any sites/places/museums I should definitely see while I'm there?

Thank you all you Seattle Locals!

I'd suggest the W. But it depends on what type of scene you want.

If you like music, you should check out the EMP - Paul Allen's Experience Music Project.

Have you considered the Hyatt Grand Elliott?
Don't ask why, but once I spent a night there, and it was great. Very modern and great location.
In the same do not ask category, the Fairmont is nice, but it is old and the rooms are small.

Of those on your list I have stayed at the Sorrento and IMO you can't go wrong.

Check their website directly for the best deals.

All of those Hotels are nice -- I particularly like the Fairmont Olympic.

I like to use Priceline's "name your own price" to get a killer deal, but for Seattle they only allow selection of up to 3-star for some reason.

The best deal I've gotten on a hotel when expedia, travelocity have all let me down is with "Costco Vacations" for the Wynn in Las Vegas which was about 35% cheaper than any other site. I don't know if they offer hotels in this area though.

Those are all very nice hotels you have listed. But may I suggest a small boutique hotel since you have never been to Seattle before. Inn at the Market is located right above Pike Place Market where you will get a true flavor of Seattle if you get the time.

I'm with Manuel and Kuzi....Inn at the Market (for the location) and Hyatt Grand Elliott for the rooms! I have stayed at the Hyatt on three occaisions, each time getting a one bedroom suite....they are really nice. Recommended!

Inn at the Market is great. I've stayed there several times.

Ditto Inn at the Market. For a (relatively) good price and nice boutique hotel try the Vintage Park. Also, the Alexis is nice.

The best hotel in the area though, is the Bellevue Club Hotel in Bellevue. Small hotel, nice rooms and full use of the club facilities. Only bummer is that it is on the east side.
