Anyone use Ferrari of Central Florida? Any advise? Review?
Slightly anecdotal, but I've read that board member Brendan (junglistluder) always sends his to Ferrari of Ft. Lauderdale.
I had an experience with FCF about 10 years ago. They PPI'ed a F355 for me and the mechanic said "Compression is fine!" I asked to see the numbers - seven holes were between 175 and 180 (a little low), but #2 was 142psi. I said "How can you say its OK? The spec is all holes over 150 and all within 10%. It busts both specs!" He said "Oh, 142 is plenty of pressure." I said do a leakdown. They said they couldn't do one with the engine in. I asked for a ride to the airport. Always wondered how much the next engine out cost.
What ? Now I am having second thoughts. I wonder is they have a new crew now. Speedworks is a private guy in Osteen FL that works in a building in his backyard. I drove by, but he was not home. Say they have 50 years of combined service. Anybody else have input?
You might get more bites if you posted in the Florida section. I've always had good experiences there, and both Dave and Rocky are great service advisors. They have made changes to the service department in the past 5-10 years. I have no experience with Speedworks.
Bill at Speedworks does an awesome job and is priced fairly. He's done work on several of our cars here on the Space Coast. Bill also preps/maintains customer's cars for racing. When I had my Mondial there for cambelt service he had 3 Challenge cars in the shop as well (another on the right, not shown) Also, for a reasonable price, Bill can pick up and deliver to your home (within a certain mileage).
