Well i am just finishing up putting my cams back on the head and bolting them up and I sneezed and dropped a washer down the head..so... It fell down a hole that between pistons number 3 and 4 and between the intake and exhaust cam, actually ore underneath the exhaust cam and directly behind a head bolt... It a about a 1/4 to 3/8 hole and looks like it goes down the the oil pan and this oil is not on any other part of the head.. anybody know were it goes?? I know i messed up. but that's life.. just need some insight on if i can take my oil pan off to get to it or not? thanks
It is one of many oil drain holes and it does straight to the oil pan. I found 3 M6 bolts in the oil pan once. They were peaceful and not bothering anyone. You can try removing the oil plug and put a magnet in there. Or, removing the oil pan will surely get it.
Well.. thats good news on a crappy day.. I was planning on putting the motor back in the car tomorrow..but looks like im pulling the pan instead.. thanks on a side note, i cause its good so i can clean it out..im sure 60k miles might have a few things dirty..haha
