Need some 599/612 Ferrari advice!

Hey guys,

My aunt is looking to get out of her 612 Scaglietti soon. I've convinced her that she 'needs' a 599 so i've got two questions:

1. Does anyone know of any 6spd 599's for sale? It must not be red or F1 and at least an '07..

2. What is her car *currently* worth? It is a 2006, 13k miles, 6spd, grigio silverstone, daytona seats, modular wheels, K40. From the little research ive done it's a pretty rare/desirable combo. Since no thread is complete without pics, see below

My favorite combo...if I hadn't just bought my 550, and looking at restoring an old Maserati, I'd probably make an offer.
Worth? Who knows. Less than she wants, and more than it will be worth 6 months from now....of that I am certain.

 

I love the interior and the 6 speed, but that is it.

 

The good news is that you seem to have a cool Aunt.............

The bad news is that selling a 612 into this market, AND trying to find a non-F1, 6-speed, 599 that is not red, are both going to be difficult tasks......

 

My understanding is that there were about 20 599's produced with a 6 speed manual transmission in 2007 and none ( 0 ) in 2008. I knew of one for sale but it was Rubino red ( Burgandy? ) Yours will be a difficult mission I think. Good luck as I have a 599 F1and love the car.

 

Thanks guys. Yes she is cool, and yes she knows it will take a hit BUT she had a CL600 before this that depreciated 65% in 2 years so the Ferrari is still cheaper to own (got it secondhand). Unfortunately I found a 6spd 599 last week in the same color combo that we missed by 2 days!

Interesting numbers wings. Very helpful. I've been telling her to order a new car because she wants maximum warranty coverage and that will allow her to spec it how she wants, but an 07 599 would not have enough left to warrant the trade.

I heard some BS that Ferrari "will not let you order a 6spd anymore" - is that true?

 

May not be BS, there are rumours (thou I have no concrete proof) that the California may be the final car available with a Manual Transmission. Sucks for all us shifter junkies.

 

I think i'm going to have to try to convince her to test drive an F1. Reading in the 599 subforum it seems most people agree the 6spd doesn't fit the character of the car.. she's old school so this will be a tough sell but would open up many more choices.
