You've picked a good hobby. I think your best bet is to read through this thread, particularly the parts about photo websites that allow you to post and then other photographers critique your work.

The second one doesn't really do anything for me. Must be the angle.

The first/third is good composition. Better color representation in the third. Only thing I'd do is rotate it about 1.4° clockwise.

That said, the tree in the background would have been devastating had the car been static (or at a faster shutter speed). Remember, you see in 3D, but your camera doesn't, so trees and poles appear to grow out of peoples' heads, etc.. My advice: Watch out for those things (it's hard), and keep shooting.

Those photos look good to me! My recommendation, if you haven't already, is to start learning photoshop. It'll allow you to improve your photos in ways you'd never imagine.

Yes, definitely a good start. I would slow the shutter speed even more. Try somewhere down around 1/60 to start and go down from there until you can't hold it still enough to be sharp. I have gone to down to about 1/30 at the track (ALMS) for cars doing 150.

First one is a nice shot-- but overprocessed (contrast and saturation). Second is over-exposed and out of focus. Third is ok-- a car in the middle of the frame is pretty boring, look up the rule of thirds. Just keep shooting!!! Try different angles and different styles. Mix things up. You have the hang of some stuff!!

    Great hobby.

You can always learn something new and I am constantly finding things to improve upon.

I suggest starting an account at deviantart, http://www.deviantart.com/.

You can peruse photos and maybe pick up some great tips.

    Good luck!
