    Does anyone on the boards work in the Music Industry, or know someone that does? Either Nashville or Atlanta, I have seriously considered changing my major and going to MTSU for their Recording Industry program or checking out Full Sail in Florida. I know that it is a cut throat business, but i really love music and would love to get some advice. Right now i'm going for my marketing degree, and if i do end up getting that i would even settle working for a label doing marketing and advertising. Any comments would be appriciated. Thanks

    I'm an alumni of MTSU. I got my degree in Marketing from them, and although I have no contacts in the record industry, I can tell you that from all that I have heard, it is tough to get through their RIM program. Not only do you get one major but you are required 2 minors as well. If it is what you want, go head long into it, but like you said, there is a lot of competition out there. Good luck to you.

    I know the RIM Program is really tough, but you really learn so many different angles of the business, that you have quite a few options with it. I'm probably going to go check it out fully in the next couple of weeks to see if it's really for me.
