I'd like to order some HRE wheels for my car. Problem is, I like too many styles. I've rendered the bunch below on a similar black F355 (sorry, MotorCars International!). Probably going to do 19". The finishes shown are just placeholders. Thoughts? I like 3 and 12 I personally like challenge wheels either 355 or 430 style, the 430s are 19. Painitng a set white now to put on my 348 so I can fit real brakes on that silly goose pucker sucker
#3 all the way. I immediately picked those before reading further. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I am sold on number 13 But they were on it when I bought it and I don't have the stock ones. Image Unavailable, Please Login
#1 - these look cool but with the flat machined face if you ever curb one, you probably are going to need to buy a whole new rim and they may be out of production. #2 - just too boring for the 355. Although maybe in white or something. #3 - be careful with blacking out the car too much. contrast pops #4 - if you like these, look at VOLK. The have a 10 spoke I think. Many colors like gold, bronze and white which all look good with black. They also have black. #5 - you'd want a serious brake upgrade with these. I think they are too thin for the chunkyness of the body style. A more sharp cornered car would be better for these rims. #6 - I just say no all around on these. #7 - not a great pic of the wheels. I'd go with #4 before these, in a non-black or Volk. #8 - too thin. #9 - twist type rims are a fad. your car is a classic #10-see #9 #11- these are the coolest ones you picked. A mesh rim with a polished lip is a great look. #12- these are my second choice but in silver. They look like a ferrari wheel. Try Volk. they have a 10 spoke that is nice. Gold, bronze, white all look good. Black can look good but not as well as something with contrast. Also, Avant Garde makes some forged rims that are mesh and poilshed lip.
I really do not care for for any of the choices. Now however. If you find an OEM wheel that is chrome. You hit the jackpot.
This may sound sick. But here goes. Pull up to a high school. Ask the chicks to look at your pics. And give an evaluation. This will solve it once and for all. Trust me. Tell the cops when they show up it's just a survey. End of story.
What's the point? Do you really expect to get any consensus? Will you buy the consensus choice, if there is one, if it low on you list? Which one do you like best? Doesn't matter which wheels anyone here likes best. This is girls gown shopping; "Dose this thong make my ass look fat?" Want my opining? Anything over 18" looks like crap on a 355. Only wheels that look right are stock and challenge wheels.
great work on the renderings..! probably the best observational layout ive seen.. regardless which design you pick.. anything aftermarket, must and only be 19's..!! and car MUST be dropped in the vicinity of your renderings.. anything higher looks ridiculous. in my opinion only the originals or challenge look correct as 18's. and even at that, im not a fan of the challenge wheels.. very plane.. even those more rare speedline modular 18's, I don't find match the 355 at all, sorry Enzojr.
1, 3, and 11. To me black wheels on black cars, just make it look like all the other black cars with black wheels.
