My wife, Margaret, and her brother, Robert, have agreed to transfer his 82 Mondial 8 to us, for restoration, preservation, and driving fun. The problem is Robert's health; his bad back and very poor eyesight are what caused him to stop driving some years ago, lead to the Mondi being put on jackstands, and prevents him from getting the car prepped for shipping.
My question: is or are there any Mondial or 3x8 Fcar guys in the Miami area who would be willing to spend a day or two helping Robert get the car mobile? He lives in the Coral Gables area, and if you're interested, PM me and I'll provide his contact info.
Thanks in advance for your help. I could provide some "incentive" for your labors!!

Hello there, this is the Robogeeks, welcome to the Mondial family, you will love the car, and you will love the Mondial community on fchat, it’s full of very knowledgeable and helpful individuals that love this wonderful cars.

We have been Mondi owners and fchat members since November 2012, we have really enjoyed the car, and even made it to Mondipalooza a couple of summers ago. We live in the Miami area, but one of us travels regularly to Seattle on business and is familiar with your area.

I do have a few questions; how long has it been on jack stands? If it hasn’t been started in a long time do we know the state of the oil, the gas, and other fluids? Perhaps it would be best to just get it rolling, winch it on the truck, and when it gets there have a mechanic drain all the fluids and look at everything before attempting to start it.

We would love to help you guys, pm us to see if we can arrange a day and time to meet with Robert. I am also curious about what the “incentives” are.
