Turning the search light on, for the Florida folks.... A dear friend has moved to FL with her two y o, but her housing did not work as she had planned. So the roommate did not work, and she's really scrambling to stay as she does have family in the area, and loves the place. It's been ages since I was in that part of the State, is anyone here nearby?? Thanks for reading.... Call or texts ok to me at 832 801-0670 I am moving this month and con only provide her long distance encouragement.
Alan. What do you need? Help with finding housing? rental? Other?? Have a couple friends/acquaintances who are in residential real estate market, and a kid who just spent some time searching the area for a place to live. I'm 20 minutes north of Ft. Myers. Lemme know, Dave
As an aside, it's not a great renter's market. Expensive and limited supply, not a lot of casual rentals to be had outside that which can be found on Craig's List. Seeing my kid tomorrow for dinner, so if you have questions, let me know here and I'll try to get some answers. D
I live in Fort Myers. Everything is very overpriced. What is she looking for? New place or new roommate? I used the Zillow Rental & Trulia Rental apps when I moved down here 3 yrs ago. Too many scams on CL. Sent from the X-31 Space Modulator using FerrariChat.com mobile app
She's worked herself into a pretty tight spot.....PM sent Dave. I need someone to keep her safe until I can get into my new apartment here and get down there to help her. If it was only her i would not be worried but the young child troubles me quite a lot. THANKS guys and ladies if listening in, and man that race in Vegas was something eh?? I flew the red colors in River Oaks and they wanted to know me..LOL Hocakes she needs ANY kind of meaningful employment. And a roof over her head. But a limited education and lots of experience in restaurant services, maybe she could do better. I was planning to send her back to LSU. Knowledge is power.
Thanks, Basically, she needs to get her feet on the ground, get her resume out (if food workers even need that??), and "get settled"..into a new scene. A little mentorship. She's probably your son's age, or perhaps even younger, if he already well into his career. Hers has had some false starts, and sputters......she can put up with the garbage of a SOB but I was hoping for Receptionist or similar. Construction there should be booming since the storm two years ago??? I'll try to get moved myself (four blocks down the street!) and come down by New Years....
I was thinking I'd fly in (or even drive) and base there, to get to Sebring this month???? Any interest in a jaunt to Sebring, from this area?? TIA! She's doing "ok" has a new phone, a new job (waitress) and still has the jeep! So, she's settling in i suppose.
