Need some help regarding the dash dimmer.

    How do you remove the dash light dimmer control from the tachometer? In order to unscrew and remove it from the back side, first you need to remove the knob from the front. I have tried pulling on it pretty hard to no avail. I don't want to break something so I hope someone here will know how to get this off.

    Why? My dimmer isn't working. The dash lights are full on and turning the dimmer doesn't do anything. I will either have to replace it or fix it somehow.

    What color are your dash lights? If someone has changed them to led incorrctly it might not work as good as originally.

    To answer your question it pulls off but do not do it until you know thats the problem.

    Grant, I have already pulled pretty hard and it was working just fine before I pulled on it (the lights are LED but I know they are not the problem). Are you sure you just use enough force to pull it off? Is the speedometer the same? Knob doesn't unscrew does it?
